3 Reasons You are Not Closing Deals

We all work so hard to market our products and services and then when the time comes to close the deal we fall on our face. After being in sales and marketing for over 20 years and attending more sales training classes than any person should be allowed, I thought I knew it all. I had achieved higher closing rates than most of my peers and felt confident I would do the same in my own business.


Boy, was I wrong. It was much more difficult for me to sell my own services than it was to sell for someone else. I had mental blocks and was not following the systems I knew would work. Even women that desperately wanted to work with me and women that I knew would greatly benefit from my services just weren't buying.


Here are the 3 things you need to do to close more deals.


1. Get your mind right. Mindset is the one thing that will make or break you. I used to roll my eyes when I heard people talking about mindset, daily affirmations, and aligning your subconscious with your goals. Maybe I was just comfortable with my struggles. It was the norm for me. Once I got my thoughts right, they turned into actions, which resulted in the outcome I was shooting for. You do have what it takes!


2. Start talking to the right audience. If you are not talking to the people that want and need your products and services you are wasting your time and energy. What message are you putting out there? Stop talking to the masses and your ideal clients will come to you. If they don't have a clear vision of why you are the best option, they will go somewhere else.


3. You must have a sales process! Once you have your ideal client in front of you or on the phone with you, you must have a strategy. Just because they got on a call with you does not mean they are buying. Show up to serve, ALWAYS! Yes, they are interested, but even when people are in pain or have a problem, they need to know you are the one to fix that for them. So, don't fly by the seat of your pants. Having a process is absolutely necessary.


So, get your head on straight, be clear on what you offer and talk to the right people! Stop wasting your time and energy on people that just aren't ready for you.
